In part I of the 2-D electrophoresis series (2DGE), Bio-Rad Laboratories’ Anton Posch talked about proper sample preparation techniques for good 2DGE. In this second and final part of the series, Dr. Posch covers IEF separation, using immobilized pH gradient (IPG) strips, running second-dimension PAGE, spot detection, gel matching, and data analysis. If you want to perform great 2DGE, it is well worth your while to watch these two tutorials.
