What timing! We have advanced quite a bit since some of the recent publications (for example in PNAS 2008). As expected, FDA had an easy track for approval of alpha-1-antitrypsin due to its impressive safety record, and after quite some time, which involved fine-tuning the clinical trials, I&#039;m glad to share this press release, barely a day-old.
